Looking for a
humbling experience? Watch huge male polar bears from the safety
of a tundra buggy. These Arctic carnivores can weigh over 1300
pounds. Polar bears are semi-aquatic: they swim long
distances and hunt on marine sea ice. But the harsh environment they
have adapted so well
to is warming. The World Conservation Union listed the polar
bear as a vulnerabe species in 2006.
